Position Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for internal and field Operational and Maintenance equipment requests
  • Completes order desk duties and provides administration support for warehouse and Supply chain
  • Prepares BOLs for carriers, receiving, filing orders, transacting orders, checking invoices from vendors (mail)
  • Enters Cycle Count results and verifies (second count)
  • Submits cycle count result for Material Manager Approval
  • Receives Field Requisitions from site supervisors, and acknowledges receipt of Field Requisitions once approved by Operations
  • Enters Field request in Oracle and releases pick slips to Shipper
  • Processes non-inventory Purchases requested from site supervisor to buyer, along with quote for Purchase Order (PO also gets approved by Ops)
  • Runs back orders from move orders and work orders from and releases current available stock
  • Provides Ops and field supervisors weekly work order and move order back orders and either expedites or cancels demand as per feedback from field
  • Strong customer service skills, trouble shooting capabilities
  • Completes other tasks as required to support the team


Position Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to perform all job-related tasks
  • 3-5+ years of related Order Desk experience
  • General knowledge of drilling industry (asset)
  • Great team player with the ability to take direction constructively
  • Organized, highly detail oriented, and proficient in using a computer with MS Office, and Oracle (asset)
  • Works well in a warehouse environment, with ever changing and competing priorities
  • As a safety sensitive position, this position requires the successful candidate to: complete a criminal record check, and meet pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, medical and Fitness for Duty standards
  • Valid Class 5 Driver License (Driver Abstract required) and Criminal Record Check
  • First Aid (asset)
