Assists the General Counsel by providing legal advice/counsel and oversight on a broad range of legal, transactional and regulatory topics for the United States. The Corporate Attorney is responsible for several areas including contracts, employment, fraud and abuse, litigation management, intellectual property matters and privacy.
+ Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
+ Demonstrated experience as typically acquired in 5-7 years of business related experience including business transactions, governance support, and industry law legal analysis.
+ Assist with general corporate work, including drafting and negotiating contracts and structuring mergers and acquisitions.
+ Exposure and general understanding of basic employment law issues.
+ Excellent judgement and proven experience analyzing risks and making risk determinations.
+ Expertise in state and federal regulations as they pertain to mining and drilling industry a plus but not required.
+ In-house counsel expertise is desirable.
+ Knowledge of corporate transaction and contracting processes, including reviewing, drafting, revising, negotiating, and finalizing contracts and structural deal terms.
