IT/IS Field Operations Manager

Reports to the Global Head of IT/IS at Boart Longyear.

Position Summary:

The IT/IS Field IT Operations Manager will oversee a dispersed
global team that specializes in IT/IS service delivery in support of remote
offices and drilling sites. This may
include Network, Storage, Server, Infrastructure, Cloud and Cyber components
according to the specifications provided by the Corporate
Engineering-Operations team. This
position will work to assure a IT/IS resource in region accounted for,
operating properly, and reporting accordingly. This position will work
collaboratively with the Corporate ENG-OPS team to deploy and support all
related IT functions ‘in-country.’ It will also have direct responsibility for File,
Print, PC, Mobile Device, Network and WiFi support. This position oversee
worldwide Telecom expenses and continually assist in reporting the current state
of systems.

and tools for compliance and oversight

o Work closely with Vendors
and 3rd parties for project delivery and support of systems

In-depth understanding of:

o Telecommunication
carriers and Internet service providers

o Firewall, Routers,
Switches – deployment and support functions

o Cable plant and physical

o Familiarity with IT
supporting technologies such as: DNS, DHCP, AD, IPAM, TACACs, RADIUS, etc.

Hands on experience with:

o Windows Server: All versions

o Linux O/S’s: Major

o NetApp / EMC or similar

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field

5-7 years’ management experience in the IT field

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Possession of excellent oral and written
communication skills

Possession of excellent problem solving and conflict
resolution skills

5+ years of experience delivering complex projects

5+ years of experience with managing, coaching, and
mentoring staff

5+ years of experience working with telecom

5+ years of experience project management

Experience working with senior level management

BS or MS in Computer Science and or Engineering degree

Additional Qualifications:

Industry Certification: PJM, Cisco, AWS, etc.
