Boart Longyear Percussive Sales Representative - Western Canada in Delta, British Columbia
Boart Longyear is accepting resumes for the role of a Percussive Products Sales Representative based in western Canada. As the Percussive Products Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating leads and meeting monthly and annual sales goals. Duties include percussive products sales presentations and demonstrations as well as negotiating supply contracts with new and existing mining related customers.
To be successful in this role, the Percussive Products Sales rep must have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics as well as excellent interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a mining related sales role would be an asset.
Proficient in English – verbally and grammatically
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid drivers license with a good driving record
Must be available to travel a minimum of 50% of the time.
Post-secondary education college/university in a mining related field
3+ year’s sales experience in the mining, quarrying, or the drill & blast industry
Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong rapport within the Boart Longyear organization as well as with the customer base.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel. Outlook, PowerPoint as well as Salesforce and Oracle
Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced team environment
Generating sales leads
Meeting and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets
Negotiating supply agreements and closing sales with existing and new mining related customers
Preparing weekly and monthly sales activity reports for the designated sales territory
Developing and delivering Production products related presentations to new and existing customers decision makers.
Coordinating sales efforts with marketing and Product Management
Develop solid relationships with contractors and mine management
Seek out and develop opportunities to run product testing trials at mine sites and with contractors. Converts testing trials into supply agreements.
Ability to effectively deal with product related issues or services with the customer.
Successfully maintaining existing customer base while actively growing new customers
Travel to all parts of the sales territory on a regularly scheduled basis to meet with customers.
Maintain customer records regarding sales activity, testing programs, product related issues and resolutions.
Responsible for the complete sales cycle from developing/maintain customer base, negotiating pricing & contracts, orders, deliveries, resolving issues and dealing with Accounts Receivables related issues.
