Boart Longyear is looking to hire a new EHS&T Global Systems Manager based out of Salt Lake City, UT. The EHST Global Systems Manager works with the Director of EHS to provide support and guidance to the company’s regional business units. Will assist to develop and implement systems, programs, monitoring of performance with respect to key performance indicators

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS/BA required. Industrial Hygiene or Safety preferred University degree with industrial emphasis including classes related to EHS, regulatory compliance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Drilling Services or mining industry
  • 3-5 years of EHS experience
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred
  • Experienced in hazard identification, incident management, root cause analysis, ISO certification requirements, and internal auditing
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools, EHS Management System databases and Learning Management Systems: Intelex and ELogic
  • Exceptional people skills. Able to develop trust-based relationships
  • Familiarity with business acumen and concepts of safe productivity

Responsibilities:
1. Data Management Systems
  • Manages global EHS administrators — ensure they are meeting regional needs, provides guidance, training and sets expectations
  • Designs system improvements to meet the needs of the business
  • Monitors all EHS key performance indicators, company EHS management systems, metrics and programs
  • Monitors all EHS related regional deliverables for quality


2. Regional Support
  • Assists with global EHS program development and implementation
  • Reviews and distributes global hazard alerts
  • Designs automated EHS performance reports
  • Designs global EHS performance system dashboards
  • Develops communication plans
  • Reviews all regional performance data and identifies at-risk locations
  • Monitors continuous improvement plans
  • Drives quality in incident reporting through daily review
  • Provides training module assignments

3. Corporate Support
  • Supports data gathering and presentation development for the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors
  • Responds to executive data inquiries
  • Collaborates with Director on Quarterly EHS New Letter and EHS Mail Communications
  • Acts as proxy to EHST Global Director- present weekly OPEX update if Director is unavailable
  • Manages Corporate EHS & Compliance administrator
  • Other duties as needed
