Boart Longyear Contract Human Resources Administrator – North America in North Bay, Ontario

Job Description:

This position is a 6-month contract subject to renewal.

Boart Longyear is accepting resumes for the role of a contract Human Resources Administrator – North America in our North Bay, Ontario office. This position requires a high level of confidentiality. Experience in a Human Resource or Payroll role is required. This is an excellent entry level position for a competent Administrator to work within the Human Resource team within a global organization.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Inputting employee information into our Oracle Human Resource Information System (HRIS)

  • Updating and maintaining employee personnel files

  • Gather and process documentation

  • Data entry

  • Answers telephones, screens calls and forwards messages.

  • Sorts and forwards mail as appropriate.

  • Work closely with the North American HR Team and supervisors as needed.

  • Operates general office equipment such as personal computer, scanner, copies, calculator, fax or other office machines.

  • Proven experience prioritizing and managing multiple assignments concurrently, performing well under pressure, and meeting deadlines, while ensuring acute attention to detail and accuracy

  • Exceptional organization skills to work in this fast-paced environment

  • Oracle experience is an asset.

  • Proficiency with MS Office tools.

  • Excellent communication skills -- written and verbal (French is an asset).

  • Works well in a team environment.

  • Possess strong IT and customer service skills

  • Previous experience with an HRIS system an asset.

  • Knowledge of mining industry is an asset.

  • Other duties as required

Education and Experience:

  • Post secondary education in Human Resources

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a Human Resource or Payroll role
