Boart Longyear Global Indirect & Facilities Sourcing Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah

Job Description:

Boart Longyear’s Salt Lake City Supply Chain team is looking for a proactive, highly detailed oriented, self-motivated, well organized, quick learner to assist the Supply Chain team. The individual should possess strong communication skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, a proven ability to manage concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment and be eager to contribute to the success of the department and the company. Here at Boart Longyear, we believe in continual improvement, and this position will be integral in the development of processes within the team.

As an integral part of the Supply Chain team, you will have a wide range of stakeholders across the business who you will collaborate with to deliver timely and accurate information to support decision making. You will ensure all controls are compliant with frameworks and play a key role in driving the ongoing change through people, systems and process to support continued growth.

Key duties include:

  • Provides sourcing support for various procurement projects within the company

  • Work with suppliers on contractual terms and conditions to reach beneficial contractual outcomes

  • Real Estate & Leasing Broker Relationship Management

  • Travel Broker Relationship Management

Indirect Addressable Spend Management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years’ experience as Contract Management and Supplier Management experience

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, as well as experience in using various systems including Oracle highly regarded.

  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Additional Qualifications/skills:

  • Oversee and manage the global real estate broker relationship

  • Coordinate lease contracts and renewals with regional operational teams

  • Review strategy around global facility footprint (Lease vs Buy)

  • Support acquisition or disposition decisions around facilities

  • Identify global lease provider for rolling stock (operational and finance leasing partners). Supporting global fleet and treasury teams

  • Analyse information and reports to provide accurate and timely recommendations to management for decision making purposes

  • Oversee and manage the global travel provider relationship

  • Monitor adherence to company policy around travel decisions. Use of travel tool globally, decisions around booking times and travel class

  • Analyse information and reports to provide accurate and timely recommendations to management for decision making purposes

  • Provides sourcing support for various procurement projects within the company to support the indirect addressable spend.

  • Consultants spend

  • Professionals spend

  • Freight and Logistic spend

  • IT Spend (Phone, Computer Hardware/Software)

  • Insurance Spend

  • Analyse information and reports to provide accurate and timely recommendations to management for decision making purposes

  • Ensuring that information about the company is disclosed transparently, comparably, consistently, and reliably. Maintaining expected levels of confidentiality

  • Other duties as required
