International Tax Senior

Boart Longyear is seeking a Senior International Tax Analyst to join its Corporate Tax Department. This position will play a key role in supporting the company's U.S. international tax compliance and global tax reporting functions, including income tax returns, tax provisions, tax planning, and tax research initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated tax professional with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review international tax calculations, workpapers, and reporting related to the Company's global operations.
- Support the preparation of U.S. international income tax compliance, including Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, and other international reporting requirements, as applicable.
- Assist with the Company's income tax reporting process, including accounting for income taxes under Australian Accounting Standards (AASB 112 Income Taxes) and related IAS 12 requirements for global operations.
- Analyze and calculate international tax items, including net CFC tested income (NCTI, formerly GILTI), Subpart F income, foreign tax credits, BEAT, and other cross-border tax considerations.
- Prepare and maintain earnings and profits, tax basis, and previously taxed earnings and profits schedules for controlled foreign corporations.
- Support transfer pricing compliance initiatives, including coordination with external advisors and review of transfer pricing documentation.
- Research and analyze U.S., Australian, and foreign tax issues and provide technical support for tax return positions, tax planning initiatives, and special projects.
- Monitor international tax law developments and assess the impact of these changes on the Company.
- Support analysis, data collection, and compliance readiness related to OECD Pillar Two and other global minimum tax requirements.
- Assist with tax planning projects designed to improve the Company's global tax profile and support business objectives.
- Partner with accounting, finance, treasury, legal, and operational teams to ensure accurate tax reporting under Australian Accounting Standards and related IFRS requirements.
- Assist in responding to tax authority inquiries, audits, and information requests related to international tax matters.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of tax processes, controls, and documentation.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- International tax experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
- Solid understanding of U.S. international tax concepts, including controlled foreign corporations, Subpart F, NCTI/GILTI, foreign tax credits, international information reporting, and transfer pricing.
- Experience performing tax research and technical analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
